Do you have a testimonials strategy?
I won some business this week (yay!), and I won this business because of some testimonials I had on my LinkedIn profile. This particular customer had found me after a search on LinkedIn and approached me because they had been reading through the recommendations I'd received.
This really helped to cement their decision to pick up the phone and start talking to me, which was great!
So, here's the thing: they made the call because of those testimonials. They had the opportunity to read what other people thought of me and my services, and these recommendations came from genuine people.
We live in a world where we look at testimonials for everything - from holidays to cars to kettles...
So why would your customers be any different when it comes to your product or service?
Get your testimonials up on your website and your LinkedIn profile. Hell, even ask for some video testimonials! I've just reached out to some of my contacts and clients for those, and I'll be putting them straight up on my website to help cement what people think of my products and services.
So, get yourself collecting those testimonials! Build something into your sales process so that asking for testimonials becomes second nature.
