Hi everyone, Julie here with another sales tip for you to skyrocket your business!
Last week, I ran my Effective Telesales workshop, and I had two lovely ladies attend. There's something that came out of that training that I want to share with you because it was a really great little moment.
Part and parcel of the training that I do is spending a lot of time looking at developing relationships with customers. Those of you that watch these sales tips or have done any training with me know that we talk about relationship building as a key part of the sales process.
That customer will choose you if they like you, they trust you, and they know you, so this is really key.
One of the ladies (the lovely Ellie MacLeod from Corby Mechanical Services) said, "yes, that's what we do with our customers - we have a friendship, not a workship."
I absolutely loved that phrase, and I wanted to share that with you.
Now, what Ellie meant by this is that she has a great relationship with her customers; they've known each other for a while, they not only discuss business but they talk about combined interests that they have in common.
And this is what the bedrock of sales is about - it's having a friendship with your customers, not a workship.
Next week, we'll look at how you can nurture a friendship with your customers.
See you then!
